Stand Up Paddle Board (SUP) Yoga
Alternating Sundays at 7am
Challenge your 'Self' and press the edges of your comfort zone by taking your yoga practice out onto the beautiful still waters of The Enoggera Reservoir.
The class is designed to ease you into the newness of moving around on the board and you will be lead through a simple yoga sequence after a brisk paddle to become accustomed to being out on the water. At the end find a whole new level of stillness while floating on the calm waters and listening to the sound of the birds.
Classes run every second Sunday (or thereabouts) and we meet 15 minutes before the class starts down at the waterfront at The Gap Beach at The Enoggera Reservoir.
Regular Beginner SUP Yoga classes run every 6 weeks for newbies to yoga and or Stand Up Paddling - message for more details.
There are boards available to hire for through Walkabout Creek Adventures or you can bring your own board. Either way you will need to wear life jackets for safety as designated by SEQ Water.
Sunday morning Class is $30.
Board hire $25 (if required)
Pre-purchased 5 class packs available.
It is preferable that you can move from sitting to standing on the ground and are reasonably comfortable on a Stand Up Paddle Board (feel free to hire one from Walkabout before hand to become accustomed)
Wear exercise clothes and consider sun protection. Applying sunscreen ahead of time to alleviate slippery paddle hands. And don't forget to apply sunscreen to your feet.
